Last day in Argentina. Rode to Bariloche and had sandwiches. Then onto the border. Argentina just had to throw in a beautiful windy, twisty, perfect pavement road for our send off. Was heavenly and then they sprinkled the roadsides with fabulous rustic little tourist towns gleaming in freshly varnished log cabins and log stores. Then the border and lineups. We are actually getting to know how to fill in the docs and its taking less time. Made it through the borders in record time by checking out of one country and into the other. Then down the road to Osorno, Chile. The road out of the mountains was good, but not as nice as Argentina's send off. Pavement was a little rougher and older and more frost heaves, but still nice. Got to Osorno and Motoadventura to check out tires. They have the tires we need and willing to install them the next morning as we wait.
These Adventures are for Fathers and Sons. Michael and I completed this in two stages. Our motorcycle adventures reached the furthest northerly point in North America and the most southerly point in South America attainable via motorcycle. The 1st stage was completed in 2008 after Michael's 16th birthday. The 2nd stage started on Oct 4, 2010 & ended March 27, 2011, 2 weeks before Michael's 19th birthday.
